We went to Destin, FL in July with some family...Grandpa Danny, Grandma Carol, Grandpa Marc, Grandma Susan, Uncle Brent, Aunt Cindy, Clint, Maya and I. She experienced a lot of firsts on this trip...first time on a plane (not so fun for mom and dad, next time she well have her own seat!), first time at the beach and first time deep sea fishing! She was a champ during our fishing trip and was pretty much the only one that didn't get sick. The waves were pretty high when we went out and it caused us to produce a lot of bait if you know what I mean! If you can't tell from the pictures, she had a blast!
Maya's second birthday was the week after our trip to Florida, so we celebrated her second birthday (for the first time) while we were there. She has definitely gotten into opening presents!! She also got to go to an amusement park that had rides for little ones. She rode a plane, some swings, a train and the bumper boats.
Maya was definitely not afraid of the water, even in the ocean. She wanted to be right in the middle of the waves and just laughed when they would hit her in the face. I think swimming lessons before the trip was a good idea! Thanks Grandpas, Grandmas, Aunts and Uncles for a great time at the beach!!! Maya keeps asking when we are going to do it again.
