Nothing special...

Since I've been back to work, we haven't really done anything too exciting because we're all a little worn out. It's also been about 110 degrees here every day (I'm not kidding), so it's hard to get out in that heat, especially with a baby.

Maks has really started to "talk" alot and he was chatting up a storm with me when I took this picture. He is 10 weeks old now!! I can't believe it!

Maya and I doing a P90X video. This is definitely not the most flattering picture, but I thought it was so cute when it was happening. Maya mimicks everything that we do and she so badly wanted to do the yoga part of this video with me. Clint must have thought it was cute too because he started snapping pictures.

Maya has recently started wanting to sleep in our bed. I can't remember more than a couple of times since she was born that she slept in our bed. She never wanted to and she would cry until we put her in her own bed (weird, I know). Well, over the past couple of weeks, she comes into our room almost every night once, twice, sometimes three times for no apparent reason. We have been told that this sometimes happens with the older sibling when a baby is born. We usually don't give in to her, but we did this time and it's pretty cute.

We did make it out to dinner with some friends of ours last weekend. This is Karla and her daughter Ella. Castaways is a restaurant on a boat dock at Smithville Lake. It's a different feeling when you are eating dinner and the ground is moving under you!
This is Maya watching the band at Castaways. She was singing and dancing to the music, but got a little shy when the camera was on her.

My first video on the blog! It's not great, but I did get Maks "talking". It's hard to hear because Maya insisted on having the music on for him.

  1. Maks is changing so much. He is too cute and I love the previous post too of Maya's snapshots! You should play the photo scavenger hunt game with her that I've done with Ben. I bet she would be great at it. :)

  2. Brooke. Looks like you have a photographer in the making. Ask Maya if she'll take a picture to send to me?
