All Things Halloween

We have spent the past few days and/or evenings doing all things Halloween.  We made Halloween chex mix for Maya's party at school (it's delicious!), we carved pumpkins and we went to Maya's party today.  I love being a parent around holidays because it's so much fun to see how excited Maya (and Maks, pretty soon) gets about everything!

The other night I realized that I had never tried Maks' costume on him, so I figured 5 days before Halloween might be a good time.  He looks pretty cute if I do say so myself!

Well, it fits and he didn't mind it too much, so I think it's a keeper.  Yes, of course he's a football.  What else would a Thebeau boy be for Halloween!  Oh, and no, he doesn't play with baby dolls.  That's Maya's and she is in time-out (the baby).  Lately, she has been playing with her dolls a lot and when I listen to what she is saying, she is punishing them.  They spend a lot of time in time-out because they "talk back".  Can you tell what has been going on at our house lately??

I have no idea why she has goggles on her head, but she wore them all night.

Maya was so excited to carve a pumpkin!  I tried to talk her into something cute like a cat face, a funny pumpkin or even a tiger (for the MU game this weekend), but, no...she wanted a scary face.  So, a scary face it is...

He's pretty scary, isn't he?

Today was the Halloween party at Maya's preschool.  She was so excited for this party and has been asking me for a week, "Is today my party?".  The kids made a popcorn hand, played a bean bag toss and ate a lot of sugar!

Isabelle and Maya.  Isabelle is Maya's best friend at preschool.
