Wow, I've been slacking lately. It's not that I haven't had anything to write about, just haven't had the time to get it on here. Let's see...since the last blog we have had several visitors and we got to go to an MU game and a wedding. We went to the MU vs. Furman game. Mizzou killed them, so the game wasn't that exciting, but it was a good time! Mom, Marcus, Grandpa and Grandma Rollens, Uncle Brent and Aunt Cindy came to KC to watch Maya so that we could go to the game. Yes, it takes six adults to watch my two-year old!! No, it really has something to do with the fact that Maya is spoiled because she is the only grandchild on my side.
Here's Maya and Grandpa Danny blowing out his birthday candles for the big 7-0!!

These are just some random pictures. Maya's new thing is to make everything go night-night. So, she gets every blanket and towel that she can find and covers everything up. What you can't see in the picture is all of the kitchen towel that are laying all over the living room because the pillows are going night-night.

Putting on the game face!!

The week after the MU game, Ma Ma Marty (Clint's mom) came to KC for Karsyn's (our niece) birthday. Hard to believe that she is 11. She was just a baby when Clint and I started dating. Marty kept Maya for us that weekend so that we could go to a wedding. Two consecutive weekends with a babysitter...we didn't know what to do with ourselves!
The next weekend Grandpa Chris and Gail came. Gail brought her grandkids, Patrick and Carter who were great entertainment for Maya! The boys played in the Harley-Davidson golf tournament and the girls did some shopping and took the kids to T-Rex for lunch.

Then came the week from hell. Maya came down with something the day after Grandpa Chris left and was diagnosed with bronchitis. She stayed home for a couple of days and seemed to be getting better. Then she took a turn for the worse and we ended up at the hospital. She was diagnosed with pneumonia and had to be placed on an IV due to dehydration. Anyone that has ever had a small child in the hospital can tell you that this is a horrible experience! No one wants to see their child laying in a hospital bed with an IV and and oxygen on while she screams and cries because the nurses are continuously checking her. We ended up being in the hospital for a day and a half before she was released. She is doing better, but is still weak and doesn't have much energy. I think it was very traumatic for Maya because she is still talking about her "ouwees" and she is not cooperating with taking her medications or doing the breathing treatments. I'm sure it is a horrible experience when you don't understand what is going on. We are just very happy that our little girl is feeling better and we hope that she gets back to her wild self soon!
This is the result of Maya getting a package in the mail after getting out of the hospital
