Maya really got into Christmas this year! It was so great to see her get so excited about everything. We explained the true meaning of Christmas to her a few times trying to make sure that she knows that Christmas is not just about presents, however, she continues to associate Jesus' birthday with "parties" with "presents". Maybe that's because she goes to six houses for Christmas and gets multiple presents at each house! Thanks grandpas, grandmas, aunts and uncles!! We'll keep working on that one!

We made cookies to take to Maya's Christmas party at preschool. She did everything from help me make the batter, to using the cookie cutters, to putting on the sprinkles. She was very proud of her cookies!

We had Christmas at our house a little early (12/21) because we were going to be out of town. Maya held up each present for the camera.

This is the best picture that we got at Maya's Christmas program. I know, that's horrible. You can find her second from the left sitting on her teacher's lap. So, Maya walked around for weeks singing "Jinger Bells" at the top of her lungs and we were so pumped up that we were going to get to see her sing on stage. Did she sing?? No. She sat on the teacher's lap looking petrified and didn't say a word. So, we know she's not going to be an actress and she may have her mother's stage fright.
