Catching up...

I've been slacking lately. I just haven't had the energy at the end of the day to post these pictures. We had an eventful weekend last weekend as we traveled across Missouri to go to the Lake of the Ozarks and Farmington. First stop was Tan-Tar-A resort at the lake. Clint was there for work all week, so Maya and I met him there and got to do some shopping and swimming (well, Maya did).
Maya was loving the pool

Clint reviewing some skills from swim lessons...Maya was not having it

Then we made it to Farmington and visited with Clint's grandparents and dad. Maya drove Clint's grandfather's "scooter" around the block with Papa Mike's assistance.

Then we went to Uncle Brent's 50th birthday party.

The next day, Clint's mom, Marty, had a baby shower for me. Look at this awesome cake...how cute is this?!

And how about the chocolate covered strawberries...who doesn't love those? Can you tell that I like to eat? Thanks, Krista, for the strawberries! They were delicious!

Alyson is holding up the "I'm the big sister" shirt that Maya got. I can't wait to see her at the hospital holding her little brother in that!!

Maya helped with a few presents. She actually spent most of the time playing with her cousins Karsyn and Kaia and wasn't too interested in opening presents.

My Mom and I at the shower. The talk of the shower was how much we look alike. What do you think?

After the shower, Mama Marty brought out a turtle that she had found in the yard earlier in the day. Maya just couldn't decide if she liked it or not, but she was not afraid of it.

Kaia and Maya trying to get the turtle to come out of his shell.

Still hanging on to the turtle...

The girls...Karsyn, Maya and Kaia. Where is this little boy going to fit in?

After the shower, we went to visit Grandpa Chris. Maya enjoyed making grandpa read books, color and play with her necklaces.
Baby update: I saw the doctor on 4-23 and found out that I am already dilated. I wasn't too surprised because I have been feeling A LOT of pressure and have had painful contractions. However, the doctor was not too thrilled and is having me return to see her this Friday. If I have progressed at all, I will be put on bed rest :( Please pray that this baby is able to stay in the womb for a few more weeks. All we want is for him to be healthy, so if I have to lay in bed all day and go crazy, so be it.

  1. Maya looked so cute in her dress at your baby shower! I will pray that your little man stays put for a few more weeks and that you don't have to go on bed rest! Enjoy your last few moments with ONE kiddo! :)
