One of my good friends, Rachel, had a baby shower for me at her house last weekend. My Mom and grandma made the five hour trip here to attend the shower, knowing that they would be driving back here shortly when baby Thebeau arrives. Thank you Mom and grandma! It meant a lot that you were there! Almost all of my friends that live in Kansas City were able to attend as well, so it was a wonderful shower!

Me surrounded by a pile of presents. I swear that my friends are psychic because I received everything that was on my list of things to get before he arrives, other than socks. I have no socks!

My friend Karla and her adorable baby Ella. Ella was the hit of the party and was talking and laughing the entire time.

Maya and I after the party (please ignore the panties)! Maya had a great time playing with all of the girls that were able to come to the shower.

Four generations: My Mom, Maya, me and my grandma at the shower. My grandma, Mom and I have a thing for black and white and were all wearing black and white (not planned).

My good friend, Rachel, who threw me the shower. Thank you Rachel...it was wonderful!

Another good friend, Wendy, who I have known since grade school. Thanks for coming, Wendy!

So baby Thebeau's room is complete (almost). I shouldn't be too hard for you to figure out his name. I was going to make it more difficult to figure out, but the name was shared this past weekend with the family, so I figured it didn't need to be a secret to the rest of the world anymore. Maks Asher Thebeau is the name of our son who will arrive any time now. We can't wait to meet you, Maks!!

The only thing left to do is hang curtains. We HAVE to have curtains because the sun comes up right through this window. When this was Maya's room, she was up with the roosters if we didn't have her curtains closed. My grandma is making the curtains, so we are just waiting for them to be completed.
Baby update: I went to the doctor on 5-7-10 and had dilated even further to 3 cm. I spent the better part of the day on Sunday (5-9-10) having painful contractions. They were never close enough together to think that we should head to the hospital, so we are still waiting. I will go back to the doctor again this Friday, so we'll know more then.
